What i like about them is the MUSIC that they play they have a high quality of music which you can't determine directly that they are Filipino and all the way from Cebu. If you are listening to their music for the first time you might think that they are a foreign band because their vocalist have a unique voice.

GREYHOUNDZ
Originated in Bohol, Philippines and was formed in 1997 by
cousins Niño and Audie Avenido who at first just wanting to join a
local battle of the bands contest together with other bandmates that
includes Allen Cudal. Unfortunately on the 6th of May 2004, a tragic
event happened when original member, Allen Cudal (also one of their
guitarists) died from a car accident. Many followers of the band were
shocked during the sudden passing of the band member. 2004 Pulp
SummerSlam, was the last time that fans were able to watch the band in
their complete line up. But despite the tragic event, as a sign of
respect for their late band mate, the group now performs as a 4 piece
band rather than hiring a new member.“
As of now Reg Rubio (Vocals), Niño
Avenido (Bass Guitar), TJ Brillantes (Drums), and Audie Avenido
(Guitars) are the official member of Greyhoundz. Behind the name: “Greyhoundz” was borrowed from the former band of Audie Avenido’s father. Some of their Albums are 7 corners of Your Game (1999), Greyhoundz (2001), Apoy (2005) and Execution (2009).
SLAPSHOCK
Slapshock is one of the premier
rapmetal bands of the Philippines. The band was signed in 1998, when
rapmetal acts were being signed left and right by the major recording
companies. Six years into the business, it can be safely said that
Slapshock is no flash in the pan. To date, they are the only band
amongst those signed during that particular genre's boom that is still
visible and active. Slapshock's debut album, 4th Degree Burn was released in November
1999. Agent Orange, the first single off the album, presented a very
crunchy but still catchy type of rapmetal. Follow up singles, Evil Clown and Sick Curtain proved Slapshock's craftsmanship and talent. Their second album, Headtrip proves
there is no such thing as a sophomore jinx for Slapshock. Released in
2001, Headtrip earned for the band a Platinum award. With songs like Get
Away, Shezzo Wicked, and Purple, the band easily established themselves
away from the growing rapmetal crowd.
It is with their third album,
Project 11/41, that the band earned both commercial and critical
acclaim. Four singles were released from the set, proving the strength
and power of a Slapshock song. The band soon released a remix album,
Back To The 2 Inch, which contained creative and innovative remixes of
their songs. Famed and respected local artists such as Raymund Marasigan
(Eraserheads, Sandwich), Anton Ramos (Chillout Project series), and
Rico Blanco (Rivermaya), collaborated with Slapshock.
This year, Slapshock releases their fourth studio album, Novena. The album displays impressive growth amongst the musicians, as well as matured songwriting and arranging. No longer caged in the rapmetal category, Slapshock explores different genres like Latin and Japanese music, a bit of reggae, and jazz as well.

KAMIKAZEE
The band is composed of five members who met in college at the College of Fine Arts of the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
Kamikazee's early gigs were mostly on campus events in UP Diliman like
the annual UP Fair. Before they were signed in a major label, they went
by the name "Kamikazee Cornflakes" (eventually shortened to its current state as "Kamikazee" which they think is easier to remember). The
band is composed of Allan "Bords" Burdeos (drums), Jay Contreras (Lead
Vocalist), Jomal Linao (Guitars/Back-up Vocals), Led Zeppelin Tuyay
(Guitars), and Jason "Puto" Astete (Bass Guitar). Their early shows included renditions of the songs "Mmm Sarap", "Tsinelas", a cover of Ariel Rivera's "Sana Kahit Minsan", and Britney Spears' Lucky. They were known for using expletives, suggestive movements, and references to genitalia in their UP Diliman performances.
CHICOSCI
ChicoSci is a 5-piece Filipino rock band based
in Manila. The band is composed of Miggy Chavez, Mong Alcaraz, Calde
Calderon, Macoy Estacio and Ariel Lumanlan. The group started out as a peer of young college kids from the Ateneo de Manila University, ChicoSci (previously Chico Science)
was originally composed of Miguel "Miggy" Chavez, Miguel "Mong"
Alcaraz, Carlos "Calde" Calderon, Jan Kevin Santos and Joel Salvador.
The five enjoyed playing together so much that they decided to take
their music seriously by recruiting guitarist Sonny Baquisal and
long-time friend Eugene "Yug" Esquivias to solidify the songwriting
process. The band won an inter school Battle of the Bands and spent the
prize money in recording a demo – an investment that landed them a
two-album record deal with EMI Philippines. The band released the
albums Revenge of the Giant Robot and Method of Breathing. Never satisfied and always
trying out new things, the band continued to work on redefining their
sound. Shifting their musical direction to a more melodic style, they
sought Raimund Marasigan for guidance in working with their second
album. True enough, both audiences and critics embraced the new sound of
ChicoSci. Method Of Breathing included several hits such as Glass is Broken, Rolento, and the highly-infectious Paris. Interestingly, Paris holds
the record for the most number of weeks a song (foreign or local) has
stayed in a countdown. It stayed in the NU107 Midnight Countdown for
more than 52 weeks and giving Chicosci the Song of the Year award at the
2002 NU 107 Rock Awards.
In 2004, the band released their third
album, Icarus, under Viva Records. The band again enlisted the help of
Raimund Marasigan, who tagged along Buddy Zabala, to produce the bands
most experimental album. In May 2004, the band gained media recognition
by becoming MTVs Lokal Artist of the Month. The songs Theme from Conversation with Fire, Shallow Graves, and An Argument, enjoyed media airtime, also went into the NU 107 Midnight and Year-end Countdown.
On June 6, 2006, ChicoSci released and
launched their self-titled 4th album. Having been in the studio for more
than a year, the band boasts it as being their best work to date. A
self-produced effort, the band again attempts to give listeners
something new to look forward to. The self titled album features
catchier melodies and more synth playing from Alcaraz. At the same time,
there is minimal screaming and more focus on Chavez's singing, the most
obvious change on the self titled album.
With the release of their carrier single A Promise,
ChicoSci gained more popularity as their market grew. ChicoSci went on
to play in Malaysia and Singapore as well as local hot spots like Cafe
Saguijo. The album has spawned four singles, A Promise, Seven Black Roses, ChicoSci Vampire Social Club and Last Look. The music video for ChicoSci Vampire Social Club won the Favorite Rock Video at the 2008 Myx Music Awards. The band released their fifth studio album, Fly Black Hearts in 2009.

PAROKYA NI EDGAR
The album comes three years after the PNE’s last release, Solid and to a vastly different time. Fans have changed. They want to know more about Chito’s dates with Angel Locsin than the music. Band’s have also diversified. They now appear in sitcoms. That must be why Buwi was in Survivor. That must also be why Middle-Aged Juvenile Novelty Pop Rockers marks a return to the basics, a reaction to changes as in adapt to the times with what you do best.
The music is simple again. Lolo Bye is a light lullabye. OK Lang Ako is a love song in an acoustic setting. The funny Walong Baso about drinking eight glasses of water a day is pure Parokya Ni Edgarnonsense. These guys still have what it takes and how nice to know they are doing it by just being true to themselves.
Also included in the CD are Original Song; Ganito O!; Reunion (Panahon Ng Kasiyahan); Orange; Pangarap Lang Kita featuring Happee Sy; Ok Katol!; Paki-Usap Lang (Lasingin Nyo Ako); Francis Vincent Montaner; Red Pants; Yakult; One Hit Combo featuring Gloc9; Tuloy Po Kayo; and Pangarap Lang Kita.
